I open my eyes to the freezing darkness of dawn and wonder where I am. I struggle to think through the heavy layers of grogginess enveloping my mind. Vampire! I freeze in shock horror as I realize that there is a gentle hand on my waist. I turn my head slowly and see Adam lying on his side asleep.
